Situation: In 2009, Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee was in the process of developing a unique race/adventure fundraiser for Sports Buddies, their newest mentoring program. They needed an identity for the fundraiser and a website to help promote it. Solution: Asen won them over with the Knox Venture name and a logo design that was just what they had hoped to achieve. Our designer created a fun, colorful logo with elements of Knoxville’s skyline. Our web designer took the design and ran with it – creating a fun site that tells the story of the event. Asen also developed a promotional poster, stationery package, registration form and t-shirt for the event. Success: Big Brothers Big Sisters credits the website as the tool that allowed them to get the media support/sponsorship they needed for the event. UPDATE: For the 2010 Big Knox Venture Race, Asen produced TV and radio PSAs with local celebrities and developed a Facebook page for the event. These efforts, combined with an updated web look, posters and t-shirts had a very positive effect on the event. And, once again, we had a BLAST competing in the race! “We had a 48% increase in participation from last year to this year, and a huge part of that is because of all the work you all put in to getting the word to people in Knoxville.” Emily Morgan Events and Media Manager Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee Watch for details on the 2011 Big Knox Venture Race @ knoxventure.org!
